Stop by newly remodeled PROVE Gallery to see Demons and Angels: Moments of Clarity, an exhibition of new mixed-media works on paper by Jay Whitcomb, on display until March 1. Demons & Angels is a body of recent work created in response to Whitcomb’s experiences of personal hardship, interior demons, and a journey to rock bottom and back. As the artist states, “There is ugliness found in beauty and a beauty that hides behind ugliness.” The mixed media works in this exhibition, which were “guided by [the artist’s] angels,” speak to the power of art to confront anguish, work towards redemption, and offer opportunities to heal. https://www.facebook.com/events/386669012137851/
