Stop by newly remodeled PROVE Gallery to see Demons and Angels: Moments of Clarity, an exhibition of new mixed-media works on paper by Jay Whitcomb, on display until March 1. Demons & Angels is a body of recent work created in response to Whitcomb’s experiences of personal hardship, interior demons, and a journey to rock bottom and back. As the artist states, “There is ugliness found in beauty and a beauty that hides behind ugliness.” The mixed media works in this exhibition, which were “guided by [the artist’s] angels,” speak to the power of art to confront anguish, work towards redemption, and offer opportunities to heal. https://www.facebook.com/events/386669012137851/

Friday January 25, 2019 Arts Walk

A few hardy venues are still open for the Friday Arts Walk so BUNDLE-UP Duluth!

👉Duluth Fine Pianos (331 W Superior Street) www.DuluthFinePianos.com
Our monthly event, Jazz @ DFP, will continue as planned.  JAZZ@DFP returns on Friday, January 25th, from 5:30-7:30, with Tim Stratioti on trombone, Matt Mobley on bass, and Ryan Frane at the Yamaha S5X, heating up the house! Esther Piszczek provides the visuals, DFP provides the edibles, and admission is still free! Come check it out!

We’re still figuring out how this monthly event works throughout our dramatically changing seasons. Frigid temperatures and wind chills predicted for THIS Friday January 25, 2019, means many of our venues will not be open for this month’s Arts Walk.
